Training and Development

Training and Development

We are extremely committed to developing our people, after all, it is their loyalty and contribution that maintain Keller’s reputation as a successful and sought after provider of ground engineering solutions

We are happy to support our employees by sponsoring them to become professionally qualified in their field, for example;

  • Accounts; Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • AutoCAD; 2D AutoCAD course, Parametric Modelling
  • Buying; Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)
  • Engineers; ICE agreements/Membership of ICE
  • HR; Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP), Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
  • Quantity Surveying; Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Membership (RICS), HNC Civil Engineering
  • Transport/Fleet; Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM)

This commitment to our people continues to be a HR key performance indicator and a central business aim.

As a result of the annual performance and development reviews, the HR department compiles an annual training plan from which training is agreed and delivered.  Communication of the plan is open and honest through individual communication to employees so everyone knows what their training needs are and the company aim to deliver against those expectations.

In addition to technical and competency based training needs the company operates a management development programme called Keller Futures.  This programme consists of 6 modules and is delivered to all levels of management.  But development doesn’t stop there – management programmes continue to be developed, as the company continues to grow so do the needs of our people.  We believe that learning is an ongoing experience that never stops.

Investor In People

As demonstrated above Keller Ground Engineering is an investor in people, and was awarded the accreditation in 2005.  Developing people is at the heart of our business strategy and as wall as formal performance and development reviews, employees have access to training programmes that suit their needs.

Our commitment to the IiP principles can be demonstrated in many ways.  We believe in the importance of providing our employees with an opportunity to express their views and encourage vertical and horizontal communications.  This is achieved through the Keller Consultative Council and suggestion schemes.
